Cadillac Infotainment Design – Escalade IQ & Celestiq
Led a team of designers in crafting the design of the infotainment system for the pillar-to-pillar display in Cadillac Escalade IQ and Celestiq – shaping the vision, user experience, and execution to deliver seamless, brand-defining digital environments.
My Role
-
Directed a cross-functional team of product & visual designers across all apps, defining the UI direction and rigorously governing design system adoption to ensure cohesive, high-quality experiences at scale
-
Led executive reviews with leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment and high-quality design across all Cadillac programs and displays within the vehicles
-
Created, managed and governed the Cadillac Design System to support scalable, theme-driven experiences and consistent UI design across all applications in the system
-
Performed in-vehicle testing and reviews to validate proper design implementation
-
Held weekly design reviews with a team of product and visual designers to give feedback and QA files prior to releasing to software teams to ensure seamless handoffs with minimal errors
-
Directed collaborative reviews with stakeholders and structured validation early-on to significantly reduce defects
-
Designed safety-critical UI with explicit attention to glance time, cognitive load, error states, and fail-safe behavior
-
Collaborated closely with safety and human factors teams to refine interaction patterns and visual behavior
-
Applied regulation-aware design practices, aligning solutions with industry standards, internal safety guidelines, and validation criteria

Cadillac Escalade IQ
Reduced Defects Through Structured & Collaborative Reviews with Stakeholders
For Escalade IQ, I led design validation and stakeholder review governance, establishing structured processes to identify and resolve issues early in development. I partnered closely with vehicle and software teams to deploy prototype workflows directly on in-vehicle displays, enabling more effective testing, stronger executive oversight, and a measurable reduction in early-production defects.

Cross-Platform Design Governance
I established and led design governance to ensure a cohesive, consistent experience across all in-vehicle displays and software platforms. By defining shared interaction models, UI standards, and cross-supplier implementation guidelines, I aligned internal teams and external partners around a unified design system. Through structured reviews, documentation, and compliance checkpoints, I reduced variability between platforms, mitigated integration risk, and ensured that experiences remained consistent regardless of display type, hardware constraints, or software supplier.
Quality Control for Design Handoff
I led QA of design outputs to ensure consistent and accurate use of design system components prior to software handoff. Through weekly office hours and a structured review cadence, I audited work across teams, provided real-time feedback, and clarified standards to prevent drift. By formally reviewing and approving designs before release, I strengthened system adoption, reduced rework for engineering, and maintained a cohesive, high-quality experience across the product ecosystem.
